Mission & Goals
EPIC focuses public attention on emerging privacy and civil liberties issues and protects privacy, freedom of expression, and democratic values in the information age.
EU Legislative Interests
EPIC has participated in consultations on emerging tech and privacy matters, including the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework: report of the Commission on how the framework is functioning; Virtual worlds (metaverses) - a vision for openness, safety, and respect; and Artificial Intelligence - ethical and legal requirements.
