Mission & Goals

The Council of European Professional Informatics Societies (CEPIS) is a non-profit organisation seeking to improve and promote a high standard among informatics professionals in recognition of the impact that Informatics has on employment, business and society. CEPIS represents Member Societies in 28 countries across greater Europe.

EU Legislative Interests

Digital Europe programme, European Skills Agenda, Pact for Skills, Blueprint for Sectoral Cooperation on Skills, Recovery and Resilience Facility, the New Education Action Plan, White paper on AI, the Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition, Draft Council Resolution on Encryption-Security through encryption and security despite encryption, New Industrial Strategy for Europe, SME Strategy for a sustainable and digital Europe, European strategy for data, the Digital Services Act.

Communication Activities

Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition, CEN TC428 - standardisation related to maturing the ICT Profession, for example, the e-Competence Framework (e-CF); development of DigComp framework.
