Mission & Goals

ADMCF is a philanthropic foundation that aims to provide strategic funding and other support to organisations that work towards environmental health and conservation in Asia in a manner that is sustainable and sensitive to local cultures. With research as a point of departure, we are committed to the protection of marine and terrestrial biodiversity, the mitigation of climate change and to combating environmental degradation in the Asia region. We aim to work with a diversity of partners to have a significant and sustainable impact. Further information about our work cam be accessed bi our website www.admcf.org

EU Legislative Interests

• Development and implementation of the EU Biodiversity Strategy • Review and renewal of the EU Action Plan Against Wildlife Trafficking • EU engagement with International Environmental Agreements, including (but not limited to) CITES, CBD, CMS, and associated regulatory and implementation mechanisms • Other regulatory and policy issues concerning wildlife protection, management and trade We are interested in policies regarding species protection and the wildlife trade according to the implementation of CITES as well as addressing wildlife crime according to provisions of UNTOC. Our activities as regards the EU are fairly recent and are in the start up phase.

Communication Activities

We have established on an initiative the End Wildlife Crime initiative, chaired by the ex secretary General of CITES. The aim is to facilitate the creation of a new global agreement on wildlife crime and amendment to trade wildlife trade laws to incorporate public and animal health into the decision making process. We have a recently established web page www.endwildlifecrime.org that explains what we aim to do and who we are currently working with
