Mission & Goals
A membership organisation that provides a forum for Business and government to foster private dialogue across public policy, regulatory and political spheres.
EU Legislative Interests
A wide range of proposals or policies are targeted, the organisation is directed by the membership towards areas of interest. The most recent area of interest was Business Governance, EU Competitiveness, Internal Market, Industry Entrepreneurship and SME's, Enlargement & Eastern Neighbourhood, Growth and Structural Reforms, Economic Security, and European Defence, Energy Security and climate action. Around these topics the Ad Hoc Council met with: Lindsey McCallum (Acting Director General DG Competition), Maive Rute (Deputy Director General DG GROW), Gert Jan Koopman (Director General DG ENEST), Geraldine Mahieu (Director for Investment, Growth and Structural Reform DG ECFIN), Leopoldo Rubinacci (Deputy Director General DG TRADE & ECONOMIC SECURITY), Maria Martin-Prat (Deputy Director General DG TRADE), Markus Winkler (Deputy Secretary General EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT), Henna Virkkunen (Executive Vice President Responsible for Tech Sovereignty, Security and Democracy EUROPEAN COMMISSION), Elisabeth Werner (Deputy Secretary General EUROPEAN COMMISSION), Jessika Roswall (Commissioner responsible for teh Environment, Water Resilience and a Competitive Circular Economy EUROPEAN COMMISSION), Yvon Slingenberg (Director DG CLIMATE ACTION). Communication Activities
Meetings held with keynote speakers from the political, regulatory and policy sphere 4 times per annum in the UK, Brussels and across Europe. Recently held meeting in Brussels on 24-25th March 2025 and 3-4th November 2025 with the policy makers listed above.
