Mission & Goals

Tesat-Spacecom GmbH & Co. KG is a company in the manufacturing industry and supplier of components, equipment and subsystems for satellite communication, navigation and earth observation. For the purpose of representing interests and raising awareness of the role, importance, benefits and challenges of space and its industry, discussions are held with representatives of the Federal Chancellery and the federal ministries as well as with members of the German Bundestag and Members of the European Parliament and responsible ministries such as DGDEFIS. Dialogue formats are used to explain the need for change as well as to provide information on technical capabilities and availabilities and to illustrate the performance and challenges. Instead, due to the special nature of the space sector, which is highly institutionalized, particularly in the areas of research and development and science, discussions are held at project level or in specific committees.

Communication Activities

In principle, the representation of interests is intended to increase the visibility of the framework conditions in the space industry, the entrepreneurial activity, also with regard to the situation of the company's employees in the international environment. In addition, the aim is to convey a practical perspective and provide impetus for improving the overall economic situation. In the course of this, parliamentary evenings, discussion events, conferences, workshops, expert talks and trade fairs are attended, to which members of the european commission or parliament, members of parliament and representatives of the ministries are invited or are present or invite themselves. We also offer company tours and participate in associations. In addition, statements and expert opinions on specific regulatory projects, issues, studies or inquiries from politicians and ministries are prepared and submitted in individual cases. In addition to subject-specific content, these can also relate to overarching economic and social issues, such as the shortage of skilled workers, the value of dual training, STEM education, supply chains and sustainability through to reducing bureaucracy, and explicitly address our experience, activities and needs.
