Mission & Goals
Finnfund is a development financier and impact investor. Our mission is to build a sustainable future and generate lasting impact by investing in businesses that solve global development challenges. We provide businesses operating in Africa, Asia and Latin America with risk capital, long-term investment loans, mezzanine financing and expertise on how to invest in developing markets. We invest only in developing countries as defined by OECD/DAC. Finnpartnership is a part of Finnfund.
EU Legislative Interests
Global Gateway Finnpartnership (managed by Finnfund) is currently running a Global Gateway campaign, by request of MFA of Finland. The goal is to identify Global Gateway opportunities for Finnish companies, and to promote Finnish projects. The campaign includes e.g. networking with stakeholders in Brussels, such as European commission, cabinets. The meeting with Urpilainen´s cabinet was part of this campaign, because commissioner Urpilainen heads the Commission´s DG INTPA unit, which is responsible for the execution of Global Gateway.
