Mission & Goals
The Company is committed to a 5-year ESG Roadmap. SBTi Approved target to Achieve net-zero GHG emissions by FY2035, aligned with 1.5°C climate trajectory. Target Breakdown: Near-Term (by FY2030): Reduce Scope 1 & 2 emissions by 58.8% (base year: FY2016). Long-Term (by FY2035): Reduce Scope 1 & 2 emissions by 90% (base year: FY2016), Reduce Scope 3 emissions by 90% (base year: FY2020). EU Legislative Interests
As part of Tech Mahindra’s activities in providing digital and IT services, including AI, cloud services, cybersecurity, and telecommunications, our engagement focuses on a number of key EU legislative initiatives and policies related to technology, digital transformation, and sustainability. These include: 1. Proposal for a Regulation on Responsible Artificial Intelligence – We are actively involved in promoting and developing green IT and software sustainability services. We are closely following the legislative discussions on reducing carbon footprint of digital infrastructure and IT systems. We are planning to be engaged in shaping policy around the responsible use of AI technologies, which are central to our service offerings aligned with the EU's climate and environmental objectives. 2. Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) – As we will be subject to CSRD reporting in near future, we are closely monitoring developments in this directive. We are preparing to comply with the enhanced sustainability reporting requirements, ensuring transparency in our ESG practices and aligning our operations with the EU’s sustainability goals. 3. European Parliament Resolution on the EU Biodiversity Strategy – As a key player in the tech and sustainability space, we support the EU's efforts to integrate biodiversity into the broader sustainability agenda. We are exploring opportunities to enhance biodiversity reporting and integrate environmental sustainability considerations into our digital and IT solution in line with the EU's biodiversity goals. 4. Communication from the Commission on Europe’s Digital Decade (Digital Targets for 2030 – This initiative aligns with our strategic goals in supporting the digital transformation of European industries, particularly in sectors like telecommunications, smart cities, and Industry 4.0.
