Mission & Goals
The Tech Europe Foundation (TEF) is a non‐profit initiative bringing together academic institutions, industry partners, and innovation stakeholders across Europe to support entrepreneurship, research translation, and scaleup growth. Our mission is to strengthen Europe’s innovation ecosystem by empowering early-stage innovators, facilitating paths from research to market, and helping startups and scaleups scale sustainably across the Union.
EU Legislative Interests
TEF’s activities are aligned with the EU’s overarching policy priorities for innovation, digitalisation, and competitiveness. In particular, we follow and contribute to discussions related to: - EU Research & Innovation policies (Horizon Europe, European Innovation Council, ERA initiatives). - SME and startup support policies, such as the SME Strategy for a sustainable and digital Europe, the Scale-Up Europe initiative, and access-to-finance instruments. - Skills and education policies that aim to foster entrepreneurial skills among European youth. - Industrial and competitiveness strategies, including policies that support deep tech, biotech, and green transition technologies.
