Mission & Goals
TB Europe Coalition (TBEC) is an advocacy network that brings together civil society representatives (individuals and organisations) from across the WHO European Region, comprising Western and Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia; in order to strengthen the role of civil society within the regional response to tuberculosis (TB), and to increase the political and financial commitment required to effectively control the epidemic. The TB Europe Coalition has two key areas of focus: first, to support civil society organisations and activists in their advocacy role at national level, and second, to coordinate and carry out evidence-based TB policy advocacy at regional and international level. Vision: A world free of TB Mission: Civil Society Driving the TB Response

Interested individuals or organizations can become members by reaching out to the TBEC Secretariat and completing the membership form on TBEC's website, affirming their commitment to support and promote TBEC's values and principles. They are further actively engaged in advocating for policy changes, public and donor’s resource allocation, and the implementation of evidence-based interventions to combat TB in Europe. Having achieved a good coverage in terms of the number of countries in the region 38 countries belong to the WHO European region, including 14 EU Member States, TBEC aims to establish a reliable pool of advocates among its members from civil society organizations, communities, and activists in each of these countries at the national and regional levels. Because members actively contribute to shaping TBEC's agenda, ensuring their priorities are recognized through activities such as the annual membership survey, regional consultations and events, both online and offline.
