Mission & Goals
We are a non-profit, social work cooperative, formed by a team of people who put their knowledge and experience to practice at the service of economic, social, environmental, educational and cultural transformation.Tandem Social has a primary goal which is to achieve social transformation by promoting and helping the growing of social and solidarity economy and the third sector. We advice cooperatives and other social economy forms achieving sustainable business models with positive social impact. We also advice public institutions in the co-production of public policies related to social and solidarity economy and its principles.
EU Legislative Interests
- Collaborating in the regulation process on European Social Entrepreneurship Funds advising a Member of the European Parliament: analyzing social entrepreneurs needs, proposing contents and modifying concepts referring to the regulation (Proposal for a Regulation of The European Parliament and The Council on European Social Entrepreneurship Funds /COM/2011/0862 final - 2011/0418 (COD))
Communication Activities
- SIR (Social Investment Ready) - a pilot project meaning to prepare social businesses of all around Europe for investment, thus identifying key elements that will serve designing future European public policies
