EU Legislative Interests
Humanitarian assistance, protection of humanitarian workers, accountability for violations of international humanitarian law. Specifically, we focus on the Syria crisis. This involves advocating for greater funding from DG-ECHO and DG-MENA for Syria and the regional countries, with an emphasis on health care projects. We also advocate for greater support for medical education, in order to train more health workers in Syria. We also advocate before EEAS to maintain the EU's leadership on accountability for attacks on health workers in Syria, including issuing strong political statements and providing funds for investigative mechanisms.
