Mission & Goals

Our organisation is dedicated to advancing precision medicine and health equity by providing access to affordable, high-quality genetic testing services. We aim to close the diagnostic gap in underserved regions, particularly in the Western Balkans, by localizing advanced diagnostics such as next-generation sequencing (NGS). Our goals include improving early detection of hereditary diseases, enabling personalized treatment for cancer patients, building local capacity through training and technology transfer, and fostering cross-border collaboration in health innovation. We also seek to support healthcare systems in aligning with EU health, innovation, and digital transformation priorities.

EU Legislative Interests

Swiss Rockets Serbia focuses its interest representation activities on EU legislative proposals and strategies that support biotechnology, health innovation, research funding, and regional cooperation with the Western Balkans. The specific policies and legislative initiatives we target include: EU Strategy for the Western Balkans: A credible enlargement perspective and enhanced EU engagement with the region, relevant to our mission of aligning regional biotech ecosystems with EU standards and opportunities.

At present, our organization is not a member of any associations, confederations, networks, or similar bodies.

Organisation Members

We maintain formal and strategic affiliations with several key entities in the fields of biotechnology, health, and innovation. Founding and strategic partners: Swiss Rockets AG (Switzerland) Founding strategic partner and investor, providing financial, technical, and scientific support in the development and implementation of our gene sequencing services. Swiss Rockets AG has also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding the establishment of the Bio4 Campus in Serbia, a planned innovation hub focused on biotechnology and life sciences, further strengthening our regional presence and commitment to advancing health innovation. University of Belgrade Academic collaboration in research, student education, and scientific dissemination in biomedical and health sciences. Institute of Chemistry, Technology and Metallurgy (IHTM) Cooperation in applied research and development related to biotechnology, materials science, and technological innovation.

Additional Information

The total annual costs related to activities covered by the Register are estimated to be between EUR 50,000 and EUR 100,000. This estimate includes office rental expenses, utility costs, and the salaries of employees directly involved in interest representation activities. The organization does not receive EU funding, either directly or through affiliated entities, and all activities are financed from its own resources. There are no pro-bono activities or unpaid representatives – all participants are professionals engaged under employment or service contracts. The costs are proportionate to the scope of activities and the size of the team.
