Mission & Goals

SMC’s mission is to promote the sound development of motorcycling in society and in the traffic environment, including through activities aimed particularly at young people and initiatives that highlight the specific vulnerability of motorcyclists in various traffic situations. SMC shall safeguard the interests of motorcyclists concerning the ownership and use of motorcycles, as well as the factors that affect them in the traffic environment. In addition, SMC is tasked with initiating and maintaining international contacts with similar organisations, primarily within Europe, and with promoting cooperation within Sweden between SMC, its districts, clubs, and similar organisations. For sports-related activities conducted by SMC, reference is made to SMC’s guidelines ‘SMC and Sporting Activities which are also the basis for the latest training programs by FIM and ACEM. Our main focus and aim is Zero Vision and the road safety for motorcyclists and all other road users.
