Mission & Goals
Studen Global SEE, a key entity within the Studen Holding Group, is dedicated to advancing economic development in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a particular focus on the Brčko District. The company's mission encompasses the establishment of the STUDEN Business Center—the district's largest industrial zone and first free trade area—spanning 35 hectares and involving investments exceeding BAM 250 million. This initiative aims to create over 4,000 jobs and stimulate growth across sectors such as food processing, logistics, tourism, and infrastructure. Through strategic partnerships and a commitment to sustainable development, Studen Global SEE strives to position Brčko as a dynamic regional business hub.
EU Legislative Interests
Our interest representation activities focus on EU legislative proposals relevant to renewable energy, sustainable infrastructure, and free trade zones. We follow the Renewable Energy Directive (EU) 2018/2001, the Energy Efficiency Directive (EU) 2023/1791, and the Regulation on the Trans-European Energy Networks (EU) 2022/869. We also monitor the Regulation (EU) 952/2013 on the Union Customs Code as it relates to the operation of free trade zones, and the Just Transition Mechanism supporting development in less-developed regions such as Brčko. Additionally, we engage with the Western Balkans Green Agenda Action Plan and pre-accession instruments aligned with the EU Green Deal and regional economic integration.
Communication Activities
In 2019, Studen Holding signed a memorandum with the Government of Brčko District, outlining an investment plan of approximately BAM 500 million. This initiative aims to develop a free industrial zone, enhance food production, boost tourism, and improve urban infrastructure, with the potential to create around 4,000 new jobs. The memorandum emphasizes the establishment of free trade zones as a catalyst for economic growth in the region. Through this initiative, we actively promote the alignment of local investment frameworks with EU policies on regional development and trade facilitation. Our communication efforts include public presentations and collaborations with local authorities to support the realization of these projects.
