Mission & Goals

Stratio’s remit is to strengthen public transport by making bus fleets more reliable, safer and more sustainable through continuous, AI-based condition monitoring. We help operators and public authorities move from reactive maintenance to evidence-based asset stewardship, detecting early signs of failure across critical systems such as batteries, powertrain, braking, pneumatics, HVAC and electrical systems. This protects public investment, supports warranty enforcement, reduces breakdowns and service disruption, and helps extend vehicle life across mixed fleets and propulsion types. In Europe, this contributes to more resilient public transport, better passenger experience, stronger oversight of publicly funded assets, and more confident electrification at scale.

EU Legislative Interests

Regulation (EU) 2023/2854 (Data Act), Regulation (EU) 2018/858 (Type Approval), Article 102 TFEU (abuse of dominant position)

Communication Activities

Stratio has prepared and submitted a briefing document to the Cabinet of Executive Vice-President Henna Virkkunen presenting evidence of vehicle data access restrictions by a dominant bus manufacturer, including contractual clauses and technical architecture that may be incompatible with the EU Data Act and EU competition rules. The briefing includes supporting documentary evidence such as written refusals of data access and the manufacturer's EU Data Act Terms and Conditions. The Cabinet of EVP Virkkunen has confirmed availability for a meeting with the Cabinet member responsible for Data Act policy. Stratio has also written to the Cabinet of Executive Vice-President Teresa Ribera, whose portfolio covers competition enforcement, and to the Cabinet of Commissioner Maria Luís Albuquerque. Both offices acknowledged receipt and Commissioner Albuquerque's Cabinet confirmed the approach was appropriate and indicated the matter would be forwarded to the responsible services.
