Mission & Goals
Stockholm University (SU) is committed to contribute to a sustainable democratic society on a long-term basis through a solid and broad scientific foundation. SU is a prominent university characterised by both independent basic research and strong applied research, where the broad research across scientific areas is key to social development and Agenda 2030. Our research is of high international quality.Together, the independent basic and applied research provides good opportunities to meet the global societal challenges. International collaboration in research is fundamental to the University’s operations; hence the international mobility within education should increase. As a university in the capital city, SU wants its education and research, pursue active collaboration and contribute to sustainable social development on a broad front. Utilising results and innovations by employees and students, and pursuing strategic partnerships with external parties.
