Mission & Goals

The purpose of the foundation is to promote interest in research and development concerning water and to conduct internationally oriented research and development activities Key Areas of Impact: - World Water Week (WWW): A premier global platform for fostering dialogue on water solutions, the 2025 conference featured over 300 sessions, attended by approximately 13,500 registered participants from 196 countries and territories. - Policy and Research: Producing trend reports, policy briefs, and applied research to inform decision-making. - International Collaboration: Strengthening collective action through multilateral partnerships (e.g., UN COPs and the Water for Climate Pavilion Collective). - Knowledge and Capacity Building: Providing frameworks, tools, and guidance for sustainable water governance. By fostering partnerships and promoting knowledge exchange, SIWI plays a pivotal role in advancing water-related policies, water security, and climate resilience worldwide.
