The World Benchmarking Alliance (WBA) aims to build a global movement to increase the private sector’s contribution to a sustainable future for all. It does so by assessing 2,000 of the world’s most influential companies on their impact on people and the planet, evaluating their performance across climate, social, and nature transitions through a series of benchmarks. The benchmarks enable companies and stakeholders to see how each company compares with its peers, identify where improvements can be made, and highlight where urgent action is needed. WBA operates as an Alliance of over 200 organisations committed to using benchmarks to incentivise, measure, and monitor corporate
