Mission & Goals
ReumaNederland is the main patient representative for rheumatic diseases in the Netherlands. We fund innovative research and act as a connecter between patients, research organisations and other stakeholders both in the public and private domain. Our mission is to realise that rhematic diseases, in specific osteoarthritis, are reversible by 2040. An important part of our work is dedicated to represent rheumatic patients and their needs, inform policy makers and other stakeholders about the reality of living with rheumatic diseases and encourage the development of treatments, interventions as well as their implementation.

Additional Information
of the total budget, over 11 M€ came in via donations, door-to-door collections and legacies and is earmarked to spend on funding of research relevant for the patients we represent, communication to patients and society. We have very little costs for the described activities related to Membership and participation in groups, events and briefing sessions of EC related groups/bodies. Overall, 2,5% of the total budget is spent on operational costs for personell etc.
