Mission & Goals
The Recreational Cannabis Foundation is an independent non-profit organisation based in the Netherlands. The foundation focuses on research, policy analysis and international dialogue regarding cannabis regulation. Its activities include monitoring regulatory developments, analysing legislative initiatives, facilitating knowledge exchange between stakeholders, and supporting evidence-based policymaking. The organisation promotes regulatory coherence, public health considerations and transparency in policy discussions at national, European and international levels. It engages with policymakers, civil society organisations and professional associations to contribute to informed dialogue on cannabis regulation and related cross-border policy issues.
EU Legislative Interests
The foundation monitors EU policy developments related to public health, internal market rules and regulatory coherence between Member States. Particular attention is given to regulatory frameworks affecting controlled substances, administrative licensing systems and cross-border legal issues. The organisation contributes to policy dialogue by analysing regulatory developments, sharing knowledge and promoting evidence-based approaches that support public health, transparency and the reduction of illicit markets and organised crime.

Through its communication activities the organisation shares information and research with policymakers, civil society and other stakeholders in order to support informed dialogue, transparency and evidence-based policymaking at European and international level.
