Additional Information
SPB/EICB has different funding sources from regional, national and European organisations. All fundings are project based. SPB/EICB is partner in several consortia executing projects receiving funding from the European Union, mainly via programmes for RD*I such as Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe. This concerns several Coordination and Support projects (PLATINA3, PLATINA4Action, LASTING and NEEDS) in the field of Waterborne Transport / inland navigation. Furthermore, SPB/EICB is involved in the Research and Innovation Actions NOVIMOVE, MAGPIE, SYNERGETICS and RH2IWER which targets innovative inland waterway transport solutions to address the challenges of climate change and modal shift from road to inland waterway transport. Moreover, SPB/EICB executes for Port of Rotterdam a support programme for development and greening of inland waterway transport. On national level SPB/EICB is executing several smaller projects in the framework of the Dutch Green Deal on IWT and Inland Ports, concerning national projects on greening the fleet funded by Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water management.
