Mission & Goals
PauseAI Global is a global movement of activists advocating for a pause on frontier AI development, until safety can be soundly demonstrated. We work to raise awareness in the public and in policy-makers globally about the risks of advanced AI systems. Our mission is to promote international cooperation for safe AI governance through public education campaigns, policy engagement with legislators (particularly within the EU), coordination of local groups of volunteers and organizing peaceful protests and public events. We believe frontier AI development should proceed only when sufficient safety measures and oversight mechanisms are in place.
