Mission & Goals
Fibershed develops regional fiber systems that build soil & protect the health of our biosphere. As a thought leadership and advocacy organisation focusing on cross industry collaboration, the non-profit is on a mission to mobilise and guide the Dutch fashion industry to (re)build and strengthen their local textile supply chains on social, circular and regenerative values.

Stichting Fibershed NL is the Dutch affiliate of Fibershed.org in the USA. We are a value-network organization. We have initiated and are supporting the founding of a European Fibershed HUB. The founders of Fibershed NL are coaching other Fibershed affiliates; Martine Nieuwenhuis is coaching Fibershed Brazil and Stijn Jaspers is coaching Fibershed Srilanka. At the moment we rely for funding on donations and subsidies. We work as much as possible with various partners. The global Fibershed movement, including Fibershed NL is part of the Make the Label Count coalition.
