Mission & Goals
The Circular Economy for Flexible Packaging (CEFLEX) initiative is a technical collaboration of around 150 European companies, associations and organisations representing the entire value chain of flexible packaging: producers of raw materials, converters, brand owners, waste management companies, recyclers, extended producer responsibility organisations and technology suppliers. The CEFLEX vision is to make flexible packaging circular in Europe by ensuring it is collected, sorted, recycled and used again to replace virgin materials. We accelerate circularity of flexible packaging for the entire value chain by: - providing the analysis and direction to tackle key challenges and opportunities in the circular economy - building understanding and alignment around real-world solutions - driving focused action on critical technical and economic barriers to support a robust and sustainable value chain - shaping effective policy through engagement, advocacy and evidence
