Mission & Goals
The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community SO Europe Eurasia Foundation (SOEEF) is a not for profit organization that provides year-round public health services and activities to children and adults with intellectual disabilities through grass roots sports training and competition, multi-disciplinary health screening and intervention programs, promoting public health and early childhood development in all 27 European an Union Member States, serving over 450,000 participating athletes.
