Mission & Goals

Source International is an environmental justice organization composed of scientists, lawyers, and human right experts who work alongside communities affected by environmental pollution, particularly in contexts shaped by extractive industries and weak governance. Since 2012, Source International generates independent, high-quality scientific evidence on environmental contamination and related human rights violations. This evidence is then returned to local communities, who use it to defend their rights, seek remediation, and promote structural change. Throughout the years, our data has supported advocacy campaigns and legal cases on environmental justice at the local, national, and international level.
