The declared amount of estimated costs is the best estimate of costs associated with interest representation activity as defined in Section III of the Interinstitutional Agreement between the European Parliament and the European Commission on the establishment of a transparency register for organizations and self-employed individuals engaged in EU policy-making and policy implementation, such as preparation and communication of position papers, meetings with policy-makers, organization of and participation in policy events. This includes: salaries of staff and travel expenses attributable to interest representation; the estimated percentage of the membership fees paid to the European industry associations listed under the above section 12 “Membership and affiliation".
