Mission & Goals
SOLIDAR organises its work for lifelong and life-wide learning through the SOLIDAR Foundation for progressive education and citizenry participation. The purpose of the Foundation is to gather both the external policy work and the internal learning needs in what we consider a learning house for the network. SOLIDAR Foundation engages, through member and partner organisations, citizens in EU decision making processes, empowers people through lifelong learning, citizenship education, popular education and workers education associations, and voices their concerns to the EU institutions by carrying out active lobbying, project management and coordination, policy monitoring, research and awareness-raising. SOLIDAR Foundation cooperates with progressive civil society and labour movement organizations, is a founding member of the Lifelong Learning Platform (LLLP) and of Civil Society Europe, and works in strategic partnership with ETUC.
