Mission & Goals
La Fondation Solar Impulse est une organisation à but non lucratif fondée par l'explorateur et pionnier des technologies propres Bertrand Piccard, suite au succès du premier tour du monde en avion solaire. La Fondation Solar Impulse identifie, labellise et promeut toutes les innovations qui sont économiquement rentables et qui peuvent amener le monde vers une plus grande efficience énergétique. Plus de 350 experts indépendants évaluent les solutions proposées dans différents secteurs et décernent le label « Efficient Solutions », une marque de qualité reconnue. Aujourd'hui, le portefeuille comprend plus de 1 600 solutions et la Fondation soutient leur adoption en améliorant leur visibilité, en les présentant aux adoptants des secteurs privé et public, en mobilisant du capital-risque et des financements de projets, et en plaidant en faveur d'une modernisation législative. La Fondation s'engage à prouver que la performance écologique et la viabilité économique peuvent être conciliées.
EU Legislative Interests
The actions undertaken by the European Commission and the European Parliament in the fields of renewable energies, cleantech and energy efficiency, especially the different directives that linked to those fields.
Communication Activities
We have developed, in collaboration with other Industry Associations, a series of recommendations for Member States National Energy and Climate Plans. This report can be found here: https://solarimpulse.com/publications/updating- the-2030-national-energy-and-climate-plans We have also recently published a Manifesto for EU leaders https://solarimpulse.com/publications/europe-3-0-modernise-to-thrive We have also developed a publication on the benefits of Energy Efficiency, together with the European Commission: https://solarimpulse.com/publications/energy-fficincy-the-silent-money-maker We are keen to continue promoting an implementation of the Green Deal that can harness both sustainability and competitiveness objectives.

Additional Information
The Foundation benefits from tax exempt status at the federal and state level. Its financial statements are examined every year by statutory auditors (Fidexaudit Revision SA) in Lausanne.
