Founded in 1946, the Society is a professional membership association of more than 3,700 corporate and assistant secretaries, in-house counsel, outside counsel, and other governance professionals who serve approximately 1,600 entities, including 1,000 public, private, and nonprofit organizations of almost every size and industry. See our leadership page: https://www.societycorpgov.org/about/leadership and who we are: https://www.societycorpgov.org/about/aboutus The Society has formed a group of members interested in participating in our efforts on the activities described under heading 9. This group represents approximately 70 members associated with companies and law firms with a significant European footprint or client base. Companies represented by these members (excluding law firms) who have expressed interested in participating in these efforts to date include Corteva, Allison Transmission, Mohawk Industries, Belden, Gallagher, Vontier, Crane, Abbott, US Bank, Zoetis, John Deere & Company, Philip Morris, Apple, Morgan Stanley, Westlake, Ingevity, BorgWarner, Emerson, Uber, Travelers, Verizon, Assurant, and Goldman Sachs, among others.
Additional Information
The precise estimate from our Chief Financial & Administrative Officer as of January 2025 was 82,399 Euros based on 10% time allocation by the General Counsel & Chief Knowledge Officer and President & CEO, which was extremely conservative, as the actual percentage of time dedicated to these matters by these two individuals is much lower (3% maximum for the General Counsel & Chief Knowledge Officer and much less than 1% for the President & CEO). As a result, we are not modifying the number at this time notwithstanding the the compensation for these two individuals was increased as of the new fiscal year beginning April 2025.
