Mission & Goals

Sabam is a Belgian collecting society for authors, composers and publishers. We manage copyright across five artistic fields: music, audiovisual, literature, performing arts and visual arts. Our mission: to ensure that creators receive fair compensation for the use of their work — so they can keep creating. We collect, manage and distribute authors’ rights for over 50.000 affiliated rightholders, and through reciprocal agreements with sister societies worldwide for over 2 million other rightholders.
