Mission & Goals

Social Economy Europe (SEE) is the voice of the 4.3 million social economy enterprises and organisations in the European Union. Created in November 2000 under the name of CEP-CMAF -the European Standing Conference of Cooperatives, Mutuals, Associations and foundations- with the purpose of establishing a permanent dialogue between the social economy and the European Institutions, in 2008, CEP-CMAF changed its name and officially became Social Economy Europe. SEE represents a growing network of 25 EU members representing the European Social Economy Community.

SEE has an operating grant (ESF-2025-AG-NETW-MF-SE) approved in 2026 for the first time. As it is a 3-year project, the amount stated (62.791€) corresponds with the corresponding calculated amount for 2026. The maximum total grant amount to receive is 290.994€
