Mission & Goals
Slow Food is a global movement acting together to ensure good, clean and fair food for all. We envision a world where everyone can eat food that is good for them, good for the people who grow it and good for the planet. We cultivate a worldwide network of local communities and activists who defend cultural and biological diversity, promote food education and influence policies in public and private sectors.
EU Legislative Interests
At the EU level, we engage with European institutions and collaborate with partner organizations to advance our shared vision and influence food policies, striving to improve food systems. We translate the grassroots experiences of our network into policy recommendations and elevate nationally addressed issues to the European stage. In 2026, our advocacy work will be divided in 5 policy areas: production methods and farmers incomes (around CAP, CMO, on-farm sustainability compass), animal farming (Livestock Strategy and Animal welfare revision), international trade, agrobiodiversity protection (PRM revision, Food and Feed Omnibus, NGTs deregulation), and implementing the right to food (public procurement, food environments)
