Mission & Goals
Skydda Skogen är en ideell naturvårdsorganisation med fokus på skogen, och bildades 2009 av skogsengagerade från hela landet, med anledning av det kritiska läget för skogen och hotet mot den biologiska mångfalden. Föreningens mål enligt stadgarna är: • Skydd av skog med höga naturvärden och bevarande och utvecklande inklusive restaurering av biologisk mångfald i skogs- och trädmiljöer. • Reform av skogsbruket till ett långsiktigt ekologiskt och socialt hållbart mångbruk, där omsorgen om miljön är överordnad produktionen. • Att motverka klimatkrisen där denna överlappar med skogsfrågor.
EU Legislative Interests
Anything related to biodiversity conservation and forests. This includes forestry and bioenergy. Anything related to climate crisis since this is tightly linked with the biodiversity crisis.
Communication Activities
Communication with and meetings with MEPs and with the EC. Communication with the public, and communication with other organizations with which we share goals.
