Mission & Goals
We are a business-led climate initiative. Our mission is to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon economy. Skift's main focus areas 1. Increase the speed of implementation of climate solutions in our member businesses 2. Demonstrate how to create green competitiveness by linking green value creation and effective climate and nature policy. 3. Be a driving force for better climate, nature, and business policies. 4. Inspire political decisions and stricter requirements for business. 5. Spread knowledge, experiences and inspiration in and beyond the Skift network.
EU Legislative Interests
European businesses find competitiveness and sustainability as a key opportunity for Europe. During interactions with the EU institutions we hope to: o Determine how business and policymakers can work together to achieve the transition towards a competitive and climate neutral EU and ensuring that the transition benefits to society and EU citizens. o Moving forward with the energy transition and increase circular economy practices to increase the resilience and competitiveness of the European economy o Present best practices of businesses action (eg: achievement of climate and competitiveness objectives) and provide recommendations on how policies and measures can support the development of these practices.
