Mission & Goals
Simes Net, founded in 2019, began as a forward-thinking provider of telecommunication services for business users. Operating in Montenegro, the company has since evolved, shifting its focus towards renewable energy solutions. Today, Simes Net integrates cutting-edge IT technologies, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to innovate within the renewable energy sector. Vision: To lead the transformation towards a sustainable future by merging advanced technologies with clean energy solutions. Mission: To drive innovation in renewable energy through intelligent systems and smart solutions, delivering sustainable value to businesses and communities.
EU Legislative Interests
Simes Net d.o.o. currently directs its interest representation efforts towards the following EU legislative proposals and policy frameworks: Directive (EU) 2018/2001 on the promotion of the use of energy from renewable sources (Renewable Energy Directive II) Proposal for a Regulation establishing a framework for the deployment of intelligent transport systems (ITS) in the field of road transport (COM/2021/813 final) Proposal for a Regulation on Artificial Intelligence (AI Act) – COM(2021) 206 final, which establishes harmonized rules on artificial intelligence in the EU Digital Europe Programme (Regulation (EU) 2021/694), supporting digital transformation through funding AI, cybersecurity, and advanced digital skills European Green Deal, particularly policies related to digitalization and clean energy transition REPowerEU Plan, focusing on energy security, decarbonization, and smart energy technologies These policies are relevant to the company’s activities which combine AI, machine learning, and IT technologies to develop innovative solutions in the renewable energy sector.
Communication Activities
Simes Net has not yet established direct institutional communication with EU institutions. However, the company has participated in regional digital and energy transition events, online consultations, and webinars focused on the Digital Europe Programme and the EU Green Deal. It maintains active collaboration with local partners and universities in Montenegro on projects inspired by EU policies and regularly shares relevant EU policy updates and calls for proposals with its network.
