Mission & Goals
SHINE 2Europe aims to promote inclusive communities to all citizens, by delivering research services and support to the implementation of tech-Savvy, Healthy and INclusivE solutions (SHINE) in Europe, with a clear vision of fostering societal growth and inclusiveness, by sharing good practices, promoting active networking between different stakeholders and countries and developing relevant projects. SHINE's main goal is to promote inclusive societies for all. This includes gender, race, age, personal opinions and lifestyles, literacy, environment and sustainability, with shared responsibility between all citizens and within democratic values, as well as awareness raising, advocating for the most fragile citizens or calling up the public attention to all the needs for extra care and specific interventions.
EU Legislative Interests
Currently, Carina Dantas, as CEO of SHINE is participating in group WG4 - Internal risk management and governance for providers of general-purpose AI models with systemic risks, as a stakeholder contributing to the General-Purpose AI Code of Practice Groups. SHINE participated in several consultations related to the AI Act and related measures. SHINE is also Member of the Steering Committee of the Large-scale skills partnership for the Industrial Cultural and Creative Regional Ecosystems and Member of the Focus Group of EU Pact for Skills for the Proximity and Social Economy ecosystem. Moreover, Carina was Chair of a COST Action NET4Age-Friendly, CA19136, where different contributions were done to policy activities, such as the Green Paper on Ageing. Carina was also recently invited as expert for the Council of Europe Committee on Inclusive territories, Environment and Health.
Communication Activities
In what concerns the NET4Age-Friendly network, there was direct interaction with the Committee of the Regions, which hosted the network final event. More information available at: https://eventshafe.shine2.eu/
