Mission & Goals
The Foundation’s objects are, for the public benefit: the advancement of education and research, in particular in relation to the protection and improvement of the environment and promotion of sustainable development; the promotion of sustainable development by: the preservation, conservation, and protection of the environment and the prudent use of resources; the promotion of sustainable means of achieving economic prosperity and regeneration; and the prevention and relief of poverty and the improvement of the conditions of life in socially and economically disadvantaged communities; and such other purposes as are considered exclusively charitable under the laws of England and Wales. “Sustainable development” means “development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs."
