Mission & Goals
Serve the City mobilises, enables and manages volunteers in Belgium. We are a movement of people showing kindness to those in need. Serve the City Belgium is an established non-profit organisation which is uniquely positioned to motivate people willing to do good and make a difference. We are a team coordinating others to serve the homeless, asylum seekers and refugees, the elderly, the disabled, children in need and victims of abuse. We partner with local and international non-profit organisations to create community projects that provide basic needs: food and water, warmth and clothing, security and rest, education and social engagement. We make a difference through the generosity of voluntary financial donations from individuals, organisations, corporations and governments. Our values drive us to act. And we engage with all stakeholders to strive for a kinder society that embraces humility, compassion, respect, love, courage and hope.
EU Legislative Interests
We promote volunteering and active citizenship in all EU Member States. We care for the vulnerable people in our cities and promote legislation that is to their benefit. We offer Team Building days to a number of EU agencies or departments in the Parliament, the Commission, and the Council. We organise monthly and weekly volunteering activities in Brussels and throughout Belgium.
