Member Of
We participate in the EU Raw Materials Coalition via our member Cultural Survival. Importantly, the SIRGE Coalition is currently operating under the fiscal sponsorship of Earth Island Institute (EII). Through this arrangement, the Institute serves as the Coalition’s legal and financial host, allowing SIRGE to receive charitable funding, enter into agreements, and carry out its activities within an established nonprofit framework, while the Coalition maintains full independence over its strategy, partnerships, and programmatic work. This structure enables SIRGE to focus on advancing its mission and supporting partners and communities, while administrative, financial, and compliance responsibilities are managed through the sponsor’s established systems. The website of Earth Island Institute can be found here: https://www.earthisland.org Earth Island Institute provides a well-established and reliable institutional framework, with demonstrated administrative capacity and fiduciary oversight that ensures the sound management and compliance of sponsored activities.
