Mission & Goals

Scottish Quality Crops Farm Assurance Scheme (SQC) has been operational for over 25 years as an on-farm Assurance Scheme for cereals initially but expanded in 2007 to include other crops. The scope covers combinable crops grown on farm as primary production and includes crop feedstocks for onward processes such as milling, malting, animal feed, crushing (oilseeds) and liquid biofuels. SQC is a Co-operative, with the members/guarantors comprising National Farmers Union of Scotland, Agricultural Industries Confederation, UK Flour Millers, Scottish Agricultural Organisation Society Limited, Maltsters Association of Great Britain, The Scotch Whisky Association, Scottish Agronomy and Scotland’s Rural Colleges (SRUC). A Board of Directors is responsible for the direction, overall management and administration of the business and all technical matters relating to the Scheme and the Standards.
