Mission & Goals
Science to People is a consultancy focused on communication, dissemination, and stakeholder engagement in EU-funded research and innovation projects, particularly in healthcare, cancer, and digital health. Its mission is to bridge the gap between scientific research, policy frameworks, and real-world implementation by translating complex knowledge into accessible and actionable insights. The organisation supports EU projects, hospitals, and research centres in increasing the visibility, understanding, and adoption of innovative solutions, especially in AI in healthcare and data-driven innovation. A key objective is to foster trust, patient engagement, and multi-stakeholder collaboration, contributing to the effective implementation of EU priorities such as the European Health Data Space and Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan.
EU Legislative Interests
Our activities focus on EU policies and initiatives related to healthcare innovation, digital health, and cancer. In particular: Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan European Health Data Space (EHDS) AI Act, with a focus on high-risk AI systems in healthcare Horizon Europe – Cluster 1 Health and EIC programmes EU4Health Programme Pharmaceutical Strategy for Europe Data Governance Act and Data Act (in relation to health data and federated learning) We are particularly interested in the implementation of these policies in real-world clinical settings, with a focus on trust, patient engagement, and adoption of innovation.
Communication Activities
Our communication and dissemination activities are closely aligned with EU health and digital policies and aim to translate complex research and policy frameworks into accessible, actionable knowledge for key stakeholders. These activities include: Organisation and moderation of workshops, policy roundtables, and stakeholder engagement sessions within EU-funded projects, focusing on topics such as AI in healthcare, federated learning, and cancer innovation. Design and implementation of communication and dissemination strategies for Horizon Europe and EU-funded projects, including digital campaigns, newsletters, and targeted outreach activities. Development of multi-stakeholder engagement formats involving clinicians, researchers, patients, industry representatives, and policymakers to support the adoption of innovative healthcare solutions. Production of communication materials, including articles, reports, videos, and social media content, aimed at increasing awareness and understanding of EU initiatives such as the European Health Data Space and Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan. Contribution to EU project clusters and cross-project initiatives to foster knowledge exchange and policy alignment. Particular attention is given to promoting trust, patient engagement, and the real-world implementation of innovation in healthcare systems.

While not formally affiliated with specific associations, we are actively embedded in European research and innovation ecosystems through participation in EU-funded projects and collaborative initiatives. We work closely with hospitals, research centres, SMEs, and international partners, contributing to project clusters and cross-project collaborations in areas such as cancer, AI in healthcare, and data-driven innovation. Our activities involve continuous interaction with key stakeholder groups, including clinicians, researchers, patient organisations, and policy-oriented communities.
