Mission & Goals
Science on Stage Europe is a network for STEM teachers focusing on the exchange of best practice teaching ideas. The ultimate goal is to improve STEM teaching by supporting educators in their professional development and growth. By spreading innovative teaching concepts among Europe’s science teachers, we enable more students to gain the skills they need for a challenging future and encourage them to consider a career in science, ICT or engineering.
EU Legislative Interests
Communication from the Commission on a STEM Education Strategic Plan: skills for competitiveness and innovation.
Communication Activities
We joined an online brainstorming organised by DG EAC on 21 January 2025 to include ideas in preparation of the STEM Education Strategic Plan about the topics: - Identify the key challenges in the field of STEM Education - Collect input on which EU-level actions can bring added value to overcome the identified challenges; - Improve our understanding of what works or does not work when tackling the identified challenges. Through the EU STEM Coalition, of which Science on Stage is a member, the suggestions for the Strategic Plan were presented to the Cabinet Mînzatu in an online meeting in January 2025.
