EU Legislative Interests

RUSI Europe, a not-for-profit, independent international organisation committed to objectivity, integrity and impartiality, is working for a safer and stronger Europe in the world. RUSI Europe engages researchers to help solve urgent security, defence, and foreign policy challenges of interest to the European Union. To fulfill its mission, RUSI Europe seeks opportunities to leverage its evidence-based research capacities to inform policy-making at the EU institutions. RUSI Europe has been selected by European Commission Directorate-Generals to implement EU projects on several EU policies related to security and defence. RUSI Europe is focused on the following EU policies: Security Action for Europe (SAFE), European Defence Industry Programme (EDIP), Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference (FIMI) policy of the EEAS, EU Sanctions against Russia, EU Cybersecurity Act (CSA), Counter-Terrorism Agenda, EU AMLA package.

Communication Activities

RUSI Europe AISBL implements several EU projects for different Directorate-Generals of the European Commission and the European External Action Service. These projects often include provisions in their terms of reference regarding communications on a project level. RUSI Europe amplifies the communications on the projects through its own website and social media channels.

RUSI Europe is a member of the European Policy Center - EPC.

Additional Information

RUSI Europe did not receive EU operating grants, but our overheads or operational costs are mainly covered by the surplus coming from service contracts.
