Mission & Goals

Ruralis stands at the forefront of Digital Property Management in Italy. Our primary aim is to enhance the international visibility of rural properties, seamlessly integrating them with digital platforms. We collaborate with key partners such as Airbnb and Booking.com, offering multilingual assistance, thus bridging the digital and linguistic gaps of rural property owners. Our expertise also extends to partnering with Public Administration, having supported municipalities in Avellino in securing funding for rural developments. Selected for the EU's RECAH program, we've facilitated the establishment of two Rural Energy Communities in Campania and Tuscany. The Ruralis team comprises professionals who, after substantial international experiences, have chosen to reinvest in the Italian rural fabric. Our dedication was highlighted in prestigious events such as the "Rural Pact Conference" and the "EU Cap Network" in 2022.

EU Legislative Interests

Main EU legislative or policy proposals of interest: Ruralis operates at the nexus of digitizing rural property management and sustainable rural development. Our activities align with several EU initiatives that promote both digital integration and sustainable rural rejuvenation: Digital Integration and Online Marketplaces: We're specialized in integrating rural properties with key online marketplaces, connecting property owners to an international audience. This aligns with the EU's broader Digital Single Market strategy, particularly regarding the enhanced use of digital platforms and bolstering e-commerce in the internal market. Sustainable Rural Development: Ruralis' consultancy for public administrations in rural areas, especially in the Avellino province, embodies the spirit of the EU's cohesion policy. Our work is in sync with the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) aims to boost sustainable initiatives in Europe's rural heartland. Renewable Energy and Rural Energy Communities: Our involvement with the Rural Energy Community Advisory Hub (RECAH) and our support in establishing Rural Energy Communities in regions like Campania and Toscana resonate with the EU's Green Deal and its emphasis on fostering local renewable energy projects. Support for Young Entrepreneurs: The fabric of Ruralis – young professionals returning to their roots to contribute to rural upliftment – echoes the EU's Youth Employment Initiative and other policies promoting youth entrepreneurship in areas struggling with higher youth unemployment. International Collaboration and Networking: Our representation and successful presentations at international platforms like the "Rural Pact Conference" and the "EU Cap Network" in 2022 signal our engagement in European dialogues pertaining to rural innovation and sustainable entrepreneurial practices. Our work with Ruralis, while deeply rooted in Italy, has broader implications for EU policy-making. We remain dedicated to aligning our initiatives with the EU's aspirations for a digitized, sustainable, and inclusive rural Europe.

Communication Activities

Ruralis has consistently emphasized the communication and dissemination of its initiatives, especially in relation to EU policies and objectives. Here are some of our primary communication activities in line with European policies: International Events: Rural Pact Conference, Brussels 2022: We participated as the Italian delegation, showcasing our innovative rural entrepreneurship model and highlighting how digital innovation can be intertwined with rural development. EU Cap Network - Young Entrepreneurs Workshop, Dublin 2022: Here, we shared experiences and challenges of young entrepreneurs returning to rural areas, emphasizing our unique approach and the significance of community and EU support. Awareness Campaigns: "Digitize Your Property": A campaign aimed at raising awareness among rural property owners about the opportunities digitalization brings, underscoring the benefits and importance of integration into online platforms and the EU's Digital Single Market. "Rural Energy for the Future": In collaboration with RECAH, we promoted the significance of rural energy communities, highlighting synergies with the European Green Deal. Publications and Resources: Guide to Digitalization for Rural Owners: A detailed publication providing an overview of digital platforms, best practices, and the benefits of connecting with an international audience. It also incorporates references to EU initiatives that support such integration. Case Study: Sustainable Rural Development in the Province of Avellino: An insight into our work with small municipalities, highlighting how EU funds and policies can be capitalized for local development. Workshops and Seminars: Optimized Property Management: Training sessions directed at rural owners, where we discuss current trends, best practices, and opportunities provided by the EU in terms of digitalization and rural development. Sustainable Energy in Rural Areas: In collaboration with EU experts, we conducted seminars on the potentials of rural energy communities, drawing inspiration from the Green Deal initiatives. Our vision and activities are strongly aligned with EU policies and goals. Through our communication efforts, we aim to bridge local initiatives and broader European strategies, promoting inclusive and sustainable development.
