Mission & Goals

Support the efforts of developing countries to strengthen the rule of law. The Rule of Law Centre will strengthen rule of law expertise in developing countries through interactive collaboration, focusing on education, institutional integrity, and legal certainty. Finnish expertise will support rule of law development via international organizations and networks. The Centre will engage experts from diverse institutions, enhance collaboration, collect information, and promote research, publications, and public awareness. Human rights, gender equality, non-discrimination, climate sustainability, and the Sustainable Development Goals will guide its operations.

EU Legislative Interests

Foreign and Security Policy and the questions of Rule of Law related to that, special focus on developing countries (ODA). EU enlargement.
