Mission & Goals
RASIT seeks to promote socio-economic sustainable development through the advancement of education, science, technology, and innovation worldwide for the benefit of all people. Communication Activities
Gender Equality: The 9th International Day of Women and Girls in Science Assembly held at the UNHQ. The European Union was a co-sponsor of the 9th Assembly in addition to many EU Member States, and the EU also endorsed the outcome document. EU Commissioner for Equality participated through a Video Message. The theme was "Women in Science Leadership for Peace and Sustainable Development." Youth Strategy: The 2nd Edition of Youth Viewing UN Member States Volutary National Reviews submitted during the UN High-Level Political Forum from 2016 to 2023. RASIT's unique program of Youth Empowerment was held virtually at the UNHQ, with a special focus on the Water (SDG6) and its nexus. Science Diplomacy for Peace and Security, an advocay program of RASIT to promote multilateralism, sustainable development, the transfer of technology, capacity building and development, among others. Organisation Members
RASIT is a membership organization composed of individual members globally, roughly 35,000 individual members at any given time. RASIT has been working in the spirit of Sustainable Development Goal 17 ever since our founding. This is translated by our remarkable partnership with the United Nations agencies & Departments, including UN-DESA, ITU, UNCTAD, WHO, UNITAR, UNESCO, UN-Women, ILO, etc., the Member States, including 110 countries, and intergovernmental organizations including African Union, OECD, League of Arab States, among others, the private sector including Danaher and Turkish Airlines, civil society, and academic institutions including Felician University, Istanbul Gedik University, Istanbul Atlas University, Seton Hall, among others. https://www.womeninscienceday.org/.websites/index.html https://girlsinscience4sdgs.org/ RASIT works with companies from a variety of sectors, including energy, food and agriculture, water, consumer products, healthcare, finance, and information technology.
