Mission & Goals

THE ROMA FOUNDATION FOR EUROPE is an advocacy-oriented foundation equipped with a Roma-led vision, strategy, expertise, and a vast network nurtured over decades. With headquarters in Brussels, the foundation aims to pave the way for positive change within the Roma community and to lay the groundwork for a rejuvenated Europe that champions equality, justice and fairness for all its citizens. Together with its network of Roma-led organisations, the European Roma Institute for Arts and Culture, the Roma Education Fund, the Roma Entrepreneurship Development Initiative, and Roma for Democracy, the Roma Foundation for Europe is working to change the way Roma are viewed, realise their potential, and develop solutions that benefit both the Roma and European economies and societies.

EU Legislative Interests

The main EU legislative proposals and policies targeted at promoting equality, inclusion, and participation of the Roma minority while addressing the challenges faced by Roma communities and ensuring their full participation in all aspects of society include: EU Roma Strategic Framework for Equality, Inclusion and Participation Council Recommendation on Roma Equality, Inclusion and Participation EU Framework for National Roma Integration Strategies

Communication Activities

The Roma Foundation for Europe focuses on addressing systemic challenges and advocating for the economic, political, and cultural inclusion of Roma communities. It promotes Roma-led solutions through campaigns that highlight Roma history, adaptability, and entrepreneurial spirit, emphasizing their role in tackling Europe’s broader economic, political, and cultural challenges. Key initiatives include awareness campaigns on social inclusion, economic empowerment, and anti-discrimination, as well as cultural and educational events to foster understanding and celebrate Roma heritage. The foundation’s work draws from decades of advocacy, building upon a network of Roma leaders and allies.
