Mission & Goals
The RINA CONSULTING-Centro Sviluppo Materiali (CSM SPA) is a fully private innovation centre with extensive experiences for the development and application of innovative processes and materials. Today CSM is part of RINA Group, which is a global provider of classification, certification, testing, inspection and training services to assist clients in a wide range of business sectors as Marine, Energy, Transport & Infrastructures, Business Assurance, Environment and Innovation. CSM is a leading centre for applied research founded in 1963 by Italy’s major steel industry. Its research activities are mainly related to the modelling and design of materials and products, optimization and development of processes, development of innovative pilot plants and reduction of environmental impact. With a staff of about 250 researchers, CSM is a private enterprise that ranks amongst Europe’s top Materials Research Centres in Europe.

Partecipazione a associazioni e gruppi tecnici principalmente relativi alla siderurgia e al settore dei materiali. In aggiunta facciamo aprte di varie piattaforme quali ZEPP Zero Emission Power Plant TP Wind ed altre Rinnovabili, Nuclear e molto altro. I temi legati all'Industria specie alle EII Energy Intensive Industries sono di particolare interesse per il ns sistema di Ricerca e Sviluppo. Le ns attività intendon o collaborare con le istituzioni degli Stati Membri e Comunitarie per la definizione di EU policies..
Communication Activities
Various events related to communication activities mainly related with the funded R&D projects in our portfolio. In addition we may cooperate in dissemination events of the various European Platform were we share ideas and opinion from technical point of view and general consideration about future scenarios and potential industrial challenge. We are also deeply interested in spillover activities.
