Mission & Goals
RTU is the only multidisciplinary technical university in Latvia, the basis of its activities is science, a study process developed in innovation and cooperation with industry, which ensures the preparation of specialists necessary for the national economy, serving as the basis for the sustainable development of the country. At RTU faculties, it is possible to acquire a multifaceted education in high technologies and engineering, as well as in social sciences and humanities. RTU is purposefully developing its infrastructure by building the first student campus in Latvia in Kipsala, which, after completion of construction, will become the most modern engineering study centre in the Baltic region, where RTU faculties, a modern laboratory building, a Scientific Library and administrative buildings will be concentrated.
